University of Minnesota Wedding Photography

On September 4th we photographed the wedding of Cari and Erik at Grace University Lutheran Church.  Grace University Lutheran Church is located next to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus.

Photography wedding day coverage started at the Commons Hotel.  The wedding party and the bride and groom made use of the larger suites at the Commons to get ready.  The Commons has several areas inside that provide for interesting photography options. We choose to use the Commons for the bride and groom reveal.  During the reveal Cari and Erik exchanged gifts for one another.  We made use of the large mirror on the second floor to capture both Cari and Erik’s reactions.  Following the reveal we walked as a group to the University of Minnesota Mall for formal wedding party portraits.

From the U of M Mall we traveled to the Church for family photos and then the ceremony.  Grace University Lutheran Church was a beautiful backdrop for the wedding and it was just across the street from the Commons Hotel.

Following the wedding the wedding party traveled to the Stone Arch Bridge for a few photos before moving onto the reception.  The reception was held at the Minneapolis Golf Club.  From the flowers to the up-lighting the Minneapolis Golf Club was full of purple and pink.  DJ Aaron Eisenberg kept the party going.  We enjoyed his flow of events that included beginning the dance with the father/ daughter, then the mother/son, with the first dance as the headliner going last.

Profile Event Center Wedding by Minneapolis Wedding Photographer Mark Milburn

On March 21st, 2015 we had the honor of photographing the wedding of Karington Brown and Kate LeTourneau.  They were married at the Profile Event Center in Minneapolis Minnesota.  Following the ceremony we darted down to the Stone Arch Bridge for a few couple photos before the reception.  We love the love and joy Karington and Kate displayed for each other as they snuggled to keep warm in the photo pictured above.  The image showcases the smiles that filled the day
Kate wore a dress from Brides of France.  Kate and all her bridesmaids got ready at the Profile Event Center.  The Profile Event Center provides separate rooms for the bride and the groom to dress and prepare for their wedding day.

Karington wore a Men’s Warehouse suit.
The soft pastels in Kate’s bouquet designed by KMB Floral were a perfect match for the March day and a warm contrast to the cool blue in Karington’s tie and vest.
The Creative Beaute Agency made sure that Kate and her bridesmaids looked their best throughout the day.  Creative Beaute’s travels to you on your wedding day as part of their on-site hair and make-up service.

We had to make use of the colorful stairs at the Profile Event Center.

The cool but beautiful March day called to us to step outside for a few photos before pulling the wedding party together for formals.
Mary Eggers created a signature look that was carried through-out all of the invitations, programs and thank you cards.
The wedding ceremony began as Karington escorted his parent’s down the aisle to their seats.  We love the warm loving smiles all three wore on their faces.  You could tell they were all happy that soon Kate would be an official member of the family.
The flower girls brought smiles and happy tears to the eyes as they made their way down the aisle preparing the crowd for Kate’s appearance.
Kate father escorted her down the aisle with pride and smiles.

Officiant’s Kevin and Kris Tjaden led Kate and Karington through their ceremony which included an exchanging of rings and a candle lighting ceremony.

Following the ceremony we traveled with Karington and Kate down to the Stone Arch Bridge for a few couple photos.  Kate and Karington shared with us that their first kiss had taken place on the Bridge years earlier.

The Profile Event Center all decked out for Kate and Karington’s reception.

Karington and Kate, still smiling, returned from the Stone Arch Bridge to the Profile Event Center to make their grand entrance.

Following dinner Karington and Kate shared their first dance as guests enjoyed a dessert buffet full of sweet and delicious options.

Kate enjoyed a dance with her father before Karington danced with his mother.  Both dances were filled with smiles from all.

DJ Ryan Rud kept the guest dancing and the party going.  Just before our departure we pulled Kate and Karington for a last signature end of the night wedding day photo sealed with a kiss.
